Women’s Bible Studies

Women’s Bible studies are for women of all ages and life stages. Some studies target specific life stages—

Tuesday Morning Bible Study
Tuesdays, 9:30 a.m., beginning January 10

“The God Who Cares and Knows You”
Led by Linda Atchison

Do you want to enjoy an intimate relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ?  Walk with the apostle John and watch as Jesus, the Son of God, builds relationships with religious leaders, social outcasts, and people just like us.  As you study the signs that point to Jesus’ true identity as God, you’ll sense Him drawing you to Himself, and you’ll experience a new appreciation for Jesus, the Lamb of God.  Sessions meet twice a month to accommodate busy lifestyles.

“Passing the Mantle”
A Study of 2 Kings 2-14; 2 Chronicles 21-25

Could there be a man or woman like Elijah in our time—someone with his mantle who would boldly believe God and proclaim His Word?  This study will help you experience the unchanging power of God in changing times!

6-week study, January 11–February 15
Room 257 North
Workbook:  $12.00

“Spare Your People, Lord”
A Study of Obadiah and Joel

Obadiah and Joel prophesied about the judgment of all the nations in the coming day of the Lord.  Who would be spared?  What would happen to people?  As we wait for the Day of the Lord, we should remember that God is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in loving-kindness.  Come and answer His call to remain in a close relationship with Him—to love him with your whole heart.

4-week study, February 22–March 14
Room 257 North
Workbook:  $10.00

Studies will resume after Spring Break.

“Where Are You Going?”
A Study of Jonah

When God calls you to deliver a message to someone you don’t love, will you run, or get angry, or comply?  God used a reluctant prophet to tell an evil city of His compassion for them.  Let Jonah show you that humans cannot hide from the presence of our all-knowing, all-powerful God.  He accepts no excuses from us in delivering His message of love.

2-week study, March 28–April 4
Room 257 North
Workbook:  $5.00

“Prepared to Meet Your God”
A Study of Amos

As the Lord prophesied judgment warnings through a shepherd named Amos, He can also send forth His Word through us to save others from coming judgment.  Study how you can prepare people to meet God and how your heart can be stirred to proclaim the warning with hope for those who heed it.
