Dawson Family of Faith

We follow an 8-week rotation:
1st - 5th Sundays are small group Bible study;
6th Sunday is serving in the community;
7th Sunday is group worship and fellowship; and
8th Sunday is usually an off week.

Free lunch is served every week for college students.

Coming Home for Christmas?

Candlelight at Dawson Is For You!!“Candlelight at Dawson” weekend is December 17-18. There will be presentations on Saturday and Sunday evenings. Every year college and university students get home in time to rehearse and sing at Candlelght. The main rehearsal is on Wednesday evening, December 14, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. A final rehearsal is held on Saturday, December 17, at 3:00 p.m.. Students are welcome to sing for “Candlelight.”

College Christmas Homecoming Party

Sunday, December 19 (after Candlelight),
Join us after Candlelight on Sunday, December 19, for a Dawson College Homecoming Party at the Byrom’s home. Come reconnect with old friends and meet new ones as we celebrate the Christmas season together. There will be plenty of food, fun, and fellowship for everyone. Don’t miss it!

College Ministry Passion Conference

January 2-5, Georgia Dome, Atlanta

Merge, Dawson’s college ministry, is excited to invite all college students and high school seniors to Passion 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia. More information about Passion can be found at http://www.268generation.com/2.0/splash5.htm . The total cost for the trip is $200 and includes a conference ticket, three nights’ lodging, snacks, and transportation. A $50 deposit is necessary to reserve your spot. To register, please turn in a form (available in Sunday School and at the front desk) along with your deposit to Jenny Dansby. The registration deadline is December 11. Limited spots are available.

Disciple Now Weekend

Disciple Now is a weekend event held at Dawson, January 14-16
for the middle school and high school students.
We need LOTS of college students to help with leading small home groups, as well as other jobs throughout the weekend.

Super Bowl Sunday

Jody and Jaime Gambrell are hosting a big Super Bowl party at their new home on the night of February 6. Itʼs a few months off, but go ahead and mark your calendar now.

Connect with Dawson

We want to invite all recent high school graduates, as well as current college students, to join us for a new College Lifegroup. We will meet Sunday mornings at 11:00 am in the “Upper Room” above the Grief Counseling House (directly across the street from the Dawson sign on the front lawn).

Whether you go to 9:40 a.m. Sunday School, Journey service, or Sanctuary service, you are welcome to join this small group. Food will be provided. Because many of you are going away to school, we know you can’t be here each and every Sunday, so week to week Bible studies will be independent of one another.

Come whenever you are in town to eat, hang out, and discuss God’s word.
