Dawsonaires Ministry Choir

Thursdays, 9:00 a.m., Choir Room

With an exciting schedule of events already planned, Dawsonaries, the Senior Adult Choir of Dawson has begun a new year. Each Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. in the Choir Room we meet to sing and fellowship with one another.

The purpose of the choir is much more than just being a choir.  It is joining together to minister to each other, our community in the Birmingham area, as well as our neighboring communities and states.  You are invited to come join this fun group as we minister together.

Music for All Ages

Dawson Orchestra Welcomes Musicians

Wednesdays, 6:15-7:45 p.m., Sanctuary

The Dawson Orchestra under the direction of Pat Morrow has begun its fall season. The 40-piece orchestra is composed of adults, university students, and high school students with instrumental experience. The orchestra plays regularly for the Sanctuary morning worship services. It will also participate in the Celebrating Grace Hymnal dedication in September, the Homewood Community Thanksgiving Service in November, and the Sanctuary Choir and Orchestra Christmas music in December.

Sanctuary Choir Welcomes New Singers

No Audition Necessary.  Singers needed in every section for 9:40 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. services in the Sanctuary.

Rehearsals are Wednesday nights from 6:15-7:45 p.m. Childcare provided through Wednesday evening programming.

Chapel Choir

The students in Chapel Choir are eager to begin this year of ministry. A new group of student officers have already begun their work. Immediately the choir will be preparing to participate in the Celebrating Grace Hymnal dedication service on September 11 and a “road trip” to a Kick Off Youth Choir Festival in Montgomery on September 25. 

A beginning-of-the-year fellowship is planned for August 28 after the choir rehearsal.

High School students are invited and encouraged to come to the first rehearsal on Sunday, August 21, at 5:00 in the Choir Room on 3rd floor, North Building.

Middle School Choir will begin Sunday, August 28!
