Chapel Choir Returns from England:

The Dawson Chapel Choir extended its ministry across the Atlantic Ocean. Over 75 of Dawson’s high school students joined together for a mission trip to the United Kingdom July 7-16.  The students partnered with the British Baptist Mission Society to Present concerts in churches, schools, and other venues.  Funds raised by the concerts will be used for special mission projects in the UK and India.

The Home Concert

Sunday evening, July 17th at 6:00 pm. in the Dawson Sanctuary
The choir will present some of their concert repertoire and report on their ministry experiences.

Dawson Student Choirs

During 2010-2011, The Chapel Choir was involved in a number of ministries through music throughout the year including “Candlelight at Dawson” at Christmas, the Holy Week Lord’s Super Service in April, and an outreach concert at Lovelady Center on Good Friday. The choir provides worship leadership in Sunday evenings throughout the school year.

Dawson’s middle school choir participated in a weekend mission trip to Memphis on June 11-14, 2011. They ministered through music in churches and retirement centers.  They also were involved in “hands-on” mission work in a homeless shelter.
The Middle School Choir participated in music at Christmas, in a special program on Palm Sunday evening, and at a retirement center in Birmingham on Good Friday night. 
They have sung regularly in Dawson’s evening worship services.
