Children’s Music Programming

The children’s music ministry guides children to know Jesus Christ as Savior, helps them mature in faith and develops lifelong worshippers and worship leaders through the use of God’s gift of music. We are blessed with a leadership team of amazing musicians with hearts full of love for the Lord and His precious children.
Children who participate in Dawson’s children’s choir program receive top-notch music education and worship leadership experiences as they learn to use music to praise God and to share His love with others!

Music for Preschoolers

Choirs for ages 2.5 - 5 meet on Wednesday nights from 6:00-6:40 p.m.

Preschool and Children’s Choir Curriculum Helps Available Online

During the 2010-2011 choir year, Dawson’s preschool-6th grade choirs used curricular materials developed in-house.  We called our curriculum “Let the Children Sing Praise!” Since creating the materials, we’ve learned that many other churches who seek to provide quality church music education for children are having a hard time finding curriculum. 

In an effort to help meet those needs, we are making a version of our “homemade” curriculum available here.  There is no charge for use of the materials, although we do ask that you consider making a donation to tornado disaster relief in lieu of a fee.  Feel free to donate to a local charity if you like, or you may send a check to Dawson marked “tornado disaster relief” and we will be sure the funds are used appropriately.

The Dawson Music Ministry strives to place a song in the heart of every child. Each week, dedicated adults lead our preschoolers and elementary age children in educational musical experiences that bring joy to our boys and girls. At an early age, they are trained and encouraged to use the talents God has given them to serve and glorify Him. 
Our Music Ministry is in the process of inviting new leadership to join us for the new year. The need is great for individuals to invest in the lives of our children by planting within them a song of love about Jesus.  Can you help on Wednesday nights this year?
