Intercessory Prayer Training Meeting

Praying on behalf of others is a great ministry need and opportunity for any individual follower of Jesus. This ministry is open to all adult followers of Christ. You do not have to reach a certain spiritual mountain in your faith to be deemed ready to pray for others. You simply need to be a follower of Jesus with a compassion for others. This is a great ministry area for you to get involved in whether you are new to faith or if you are a veteran in your faith. You simply need to be trustworthy, mature enough to handle confidential concerns, and interested in praying on behalf of others in need.

We will have a training meeting on July 17 for anyone interested in serving in this ministry as well as for those who currently serve in the Intercessory Prayer Ministry. Our goal is to have someone praying every hour of the day and every day of the week. We need you to pray about being a part of this ministry. We will need many more people to fulfill this goal.

Praying for Others
The Intercessory Prayer room is located on the 1st floor of the west building. This ministry provides an opportunity for volunteers to pray one hour a week during a scheduled time to pray on behalf of the needs of the church. Prayer needs come from Sunday School prayer requests, worship prayer requests, Children’s Hospital, missionary prayer needs, military prayer needs, as well as prayer needs given to the intercessory ministry through the church staff and the prayer phone line.  There are current time slots available to participate in this prayer ministry. If you have a prayer need that you would like to be kept in confidence for our prayer volunteers to specifically pray for then please call 795-pray and either talk with a prayer volunteer or leave a message for only a prayer volunteer to receive.
