Renewals:

Items may be renewed 3 ways:

  1. Visit the Library
It is not necessary to bring the items with you.

  3. Send an email to the Library at the address on the Library card (library@dawsonchurch.org) Include the patron’s first and last name.

Inventory

Library inventory of 12,000 items includes books and audiovisuals for children, juveniles and adults.  The Library also houses a Hispanic selection and resources for adult Sunday School teachers.

Donations:

  • Used Books and Audiovisuals
The Dawson Library is at shelf capacity which means we must remove a book for each book that is added.  For this reason, used books are NOT normally accepted. Exceptions include a recent edition, in like-new condition, appropriate for the church Library and no copy already on the shelf. The same criteria applias to audiovisuals. Magazines and periodicals are not accepted.
  • Memorials
Gifts to the Library should include:
    Donor’s name and address
Name of person being honored and their relationship to a Dawson member if appropriate
(e.g. Mary Doe, wife of John Doe)
Name and address of family member for notification of gift
Suggested subject for item to be purchased (optional)
The Library staff normally makes the selection but suggestions are welcome.

Notices are sent to the donor and to the family of the person being honored.
